Wordpress Debugging Genius
September 28, 2017 3:09 PM
I have a lovely new Web site using a brand-new theme. The theme support has been underwhelming, to say the least.
Two pages on my (quite minimal) site are hanging upon first load. (It's the ABOUT and RADIO PRODUCTION pages specifically.) I need a code genius to get into the guts of my site/theme and figure out what it's trying to call up that isn't working properly. (A superfluous bit of code? Calling to something that isn't there? I dunno.)
I've just switched to WPEngine from BlueHost, in hopes that this would alleviate the issue, but no. WPEngine has looked at the base-level install and architecture, but they can't dig into the code.
I think I've figured out that it only happens when AJAX functionality is enabled, but unfortunately that's the most essential part of the theme for me (the jukebox that plays across pages) ... so the answer might lie there somewhere ... but I don't actually know.
This is where you come in!
(I also don't know how much one gets paid for a thing like this, so please gently amend my $$ if necessary.)
