Photog w/ lighting/post-processing experience needed for small project
January 2, 2014 1:41 PM
I'm looking for a photographer for a one-time gig photographing 80-100 quilts for a book project. The quilts need to be uniformly lit and colors balanced so they're accurate. Some, but not all, of the quilts will need detail images taken as well.
I have a set of 8' telescoping stands and a way to hang the quilts at my place. You'll need to provide camera, lighting, and any other gear you think necessary. After photographing the quilts, I'll need you to do, or show me how to do some basic post-processing so the background is cropped out. I have Lightroom and have done a number of photo books, so once I have the images and a workflow I could pick up the project from there.
I've got a basic understanding of photography and studio work and a basic plan for the project, but please ask any questions you have in advance so we're clear on the scope of work.
Timing & price to be negotiated, but timing is pretty flexible (to start sometime in the next two months?…I'm still getting the quilts in-house). Let me know what your hourly rate is or if there's some other way you want to structure the work. If you have a link to any of your work online, feel free to send it along so we can figure out if it's a good fit.
payscale: TBD - hourly or flat rate
job type: contract
