E-learning/web specialist

This is an immediate opening for a web and e-learning specialist, a limited-term contract until mid-November.

The primary function is to support I-TECH's Global Learning Group (part of the University of Washington Dept. of Global Health) by producing multimedia interfaces for e-learning training programs used in international public health education programs. The specialist will also collaborate in design and development of other web projects as needed.

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deliver multimedia interactive browser-based interfaces for training programs and courses
* Collaborate with training developers to optimize delivery of training content
* Source or create images and graphics for use in trainings

Requirements
* Front-end web developer familiar with modern web methods, protocols and practices, including HTML5 and CSS3
* Proficiency using JavaScript libraries (JQuery, Ext JS) to create animations and user interactions
* Experience with with audio and video formats for the web
* Experience with image manipulation tools (Photoshop, Fireworks)
* Experience with PHP or other scripting languages for form processing
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Preferred
* Experience with rapid e-learning development tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio, Adobe Presenter)
* Experience in training/educational development and using e-learning data standards
* Familiarity with Flash/Flex development

payscale: Negotiable hourly rate based on experience
