Visual and interaction designer for digital music company

The Echo Nest, a music intelligence company based in Somerville MA, USA (next to Boston, we're in Davis Square) is looking to add to our team of scientists, engineers, artists and music lovers. Our focus is on the best technology solutions to music information and synthesis: tools for music discovery and marketing, digital music creation and production. We're a two-year old startup, a small but intense company with consumer and partner products currently in alpha.
We're looking for someone with an excellent visual sense to help us with web development and client application development. The job entails a mix of interaction design and visual design, using whatever tools you are comfortable with. Knowledge of web standards, CSS, XHTML, etc a plus, as is knowledge of motion tools such as Flash, Processing, OpenGL, Quartz Composer, etc. You will be working with web developers and application developers to make simple and gorgeous user experiences on top of our next generation music and audio technology.
