Proofreader / line-editor for 90,000 word book
May 15, 2013 3:19 AM

I've just about finished writing a book, A History of the Future in 100 Objects, and I would like a proofreader to look for errors and perform basic line editing work. I've already had the book edited so there shouldn't be a massive amount of errors but for my peace of mind, I would like another check.

The book consists of 100 chapters around 700-1200 words long; you can see three examples here.

The manuscript is in Google Docs and I would like all editing and comments to be performed there, which means you need to be very familiar with how Google Docs works.

This work must take place during late May and June; I am flexible about when during the day it happens, since it can all be done remotely. Experience in proofreading is highly useful, as are references to previous work.

I am not entirely clear how much this should cost (which doesn't mean I'm trying to be cheap) so please make me a reasonable offer.
