Transcribe an interview with my grandfather
May 6, 2012 7:37 PM

A couple months ago, I interviewed my grandfather about his time in the Army Signal Corps during WWII. We spoke for about 35 minutes, and I recorded the whole thing on a digital voice recorder.

I need a transcript of our talk, but work is pretty crazy for me right now and I just don't have the time. Maybe you can help?

Ideally, the end product would be sort of like this:

Person A: Four score and seven years ago, blah blah blah.
Person B: Yes, I agree!

... and so on. I'd like the resulting file to be just a plain .txt if possible.

At some points, there are two (or more) people talking at the same time or place names are used where the spelling may not be clear, but I can read it over after your done to make any needed revisions.

We can discuss the details over email if you're interested.

As far as compensation goes, I'm not sure how much to pay for this sort of thing, but I'm sure we can agree on something. Maybe $20? It shouldn't take more than two hours or so, depending on how fast you can type. You will need a PayPal account to receive the money though.
