Part Time Web Developer

We're an award-winning design and advertising firm looking to expand our web team with a part-time developer. You'll be working on location in our Ann Arbor, MI office 15-20 hours a week as one of two geeks in an office full of designers and marketing experts.
You'll have to be good at explaining technical issues to non-technical people and be an advocate for accessibility and website best practices. For some projects you'll be responsible for all the technical aspects of a website, from kickoff to site launch.

I'm officially the Director of Web Development and you'd be the web production assistant. In reality, this is going to be a good fit for somebody with low to intermediate web dev skills who wants to work independently but not in isolation. We're on the west side of Ann Arbor, close to I-94, have a pretty mellow, good-humored environment and everybody's ready to help each other out.
payscale: $17-25/hour

- Work with designers from early in the design cycle to provide feedback on comp direction
- Develop templates for WordPress or Joomla, using HTML, CSS, JS, PHP and relevant framework methods
- Design sitemaps and wireframes for new websites
- Maintain the markup, CSS, script and content on existing websites
- Help keep our Macs running and be part of the ad-hoc IT team

The following skills are good to have but aren't necessary:
- Familiarity with the jQuery library
- Limited Unix/Linux administration experience
- Mac administration experience
- Familiarity with other LAMP-relevant languages (Perl/Python)
