Looking to interview avid FPS players for academic research
July 20, 2010 5:06 PM
Hi, I'm a UC Berkeley student researching FPS games for an undergraduate anthropology thesis. I'm looking for avid players and modders of FPS games from Doom (1993) onward. I'm interested in a wide range of games on PC and console, up to and including current-generation games such as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2.
My project is quite broad at this point, so I'm open to all kinds of experiences and perspectives. I'm especially interested in modding communities, the history of Valve, and in-depth discussion of current-generation online gaming--but I'm interested in everything and I'd be glad to hear from you.
I can conduct an email interview, or I can travel to meet you in the Bay Area. You can contact me by MeFi Mail or call me if you'd like to meet in person. I would love the opportunity to talk to you.
