WEB DESIGN INSTRUCTOR
Teach web design classes (up to 14 students) using our curriculum. We are an evolving web design program in the Boston area that trains students in standards based design methods. Train students how to handcode pages using Xhtml and CSS positioning. Have a familiarity with Dreamweaver and be a Photoshop whiz. Lead discussions on elements of design and industry “best practices” for creating standards based websites.
Qualifications for this position - The candidate for this job must have superior organization skills. Preparing academic curriculum and developing lesson plans is an important part of this position. Documented teaching/training experience is helpful although flexible based on the individual.
- Be comfortable with handcoding websites using validated xhtml and css.
- Familiarity with Dreamweaver 8 very helpful.
- Must have a professional portfolio documenting your work.
These qualifications are not required but put you at the head of the list:- Familiarity with Javascript, PHP and Flash.
- Currently part of a web design practice in Boston or it's environs.
