Account Supervisor, Public Relations

Sterling Communications helps growth-oriented technology companies tell their stories in a compelling manner by taking a holistic approach to communications that integrates public relations, social media and marketing communications. We currently have a need for an account supervisor in San Francisco with high-tech experience.

At Sterling, account supervisors provide the primary supervisory support for multiple client accounts for all matters that involve strategic input and responsibilities often include:
• Long-term planning, budget management and accountability
• Program management and augmentation
• Effective management of teams
• Maintaining active media and analyst relationships
• Utilizing social media tools to help clients engage with key audiences
• Writing PR documents such as corporate and technical backgrounders, contributed articles, budget and plan documents
• Participation in agency marketing and new business activities

While a passion for communications, a curious mind, a positive attitude, a terrific work ethic and a good sense of humor are definite requirements here, the candidates we’re seeking for this position will also possess:
• Five to seven years of solid agency experience
• A demonstrated track record of positive results
• Experience as a reporter, editor or industry analyst
• Superb communication skills with the ability to translate creative thought into original writing

We’d also love to hear from candidates about their:
• Business-related social media program experience
• SEO/SEM expertise
• Experience creating videos, podcasts, and/or websites
• Work as a reporter, editor or industry analyst
• Experience in consumer tech, cleantech, mobile, telecom or enterprise infrastructure
