We're Six Apart, the blogging company behind LiveJournal, Movable Type, TypePad and Vox. We're looking for a Web Producer to provide web production activities for the Six Apart corporate websites. You get to make the face of the sites that millions of bloggers visit every day.

As Web Producer, you will be the primary marketing website development resource for the marketing department, providing production services in HTML, CSS, DHTML, Javascript and other web technologies. You will work directly with the entire marketing team to create and deliver quality web marketing content efficiently and in a timely manner.

To succeed in this role, you need excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional time management and organization capabilities, a strong hands-on knowledge of website production and a keen understanding of process and service.

Responsibilities:

* Develop HTML and CSS content and coding for all pages of the Six Apart websites.
* Implement technical requirements into websites that work across a variety of browsers and platforms.
* Formalize and update requirement and standards documents.
* Keep abreast of emerging web technologies to optimize the established goals of the corporate websites.

Requirements

* 4+ years of experience in a web development role, preferably in a marketing-related setting
* Superior written, oral, presentation and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment (we are a startup!) and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to streamline production processes, prioritize tasks and report back on status of ongoing production activities
* Prior working knowledge of blogging software (Movable Type preferably)
* Ability to work within tight deadlines and shift gears quickly
* Enthusiasm, creativity and a desire to work on an innovative team
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Working knowledge of Adobe graphics applications
* Technical understanding of the following technologies: Log analysis tools (Hitbox), HTML, CSS, PHP, Subversion, SQL
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent
