Data Entry, from paper to Excel. Just a short gig.
December 1, 2010 7:49 AM

Basically, I have a giant pile of data that need to be entered so I can play with them. I have gotten behind(I hate data entry), and need to pay someone to help me out. All you need to do is ten-key a whole bunch of numbers and letters into Excel.

It has to do with real, living cells that are eating other cells, if you are interested in the actual research, which you need not be. All you need to be interested in is entering number correctly.

I estimate it will take 4-6 hours of your time. Because the data sheets themselves are extremely important, you either need to show yourself to be extremely trustworthy and awesome or you can enter the data somewhere nearby me, like at a library on campus (where I am as well) or a coffeeshop nearby.

You will need a computer with Excel or other spreadsheet program that can output to .xls. Ideally, you will have done this or similar tasks before. I can let you borrow a USB ten-key device.

I will pay 100 dollars cash for you to do this- it shouldn't take more than 5 hours if you actually are entering the data quickly.

I will also include you in the acknowledgments of the paper, when/if it gets published.
