SonicLiving is the Internet's leading event discovery service, connecting millions of music fans online and in-person through communities created around live shows of their favorite bands. Through the SonicLiving Wishlist, which seamlessly integrates with iTunes, Pandora, Facebook, and Last.fm, fans can track bands, receive automatic concert alerts and purchase tickets to shows when they're announced.
The SonicLiving API enables music sites, social networks, and other online services to bring the live music discovery experience to their users. SonicLiving also offers musicians, music labels and promoters the ability to reach fans directly, resulting in increased visibility and ticket sales.

You will be part of a team to implement our product vision according to product plans. This is a ground floor opportunity where you will contribute to the design and implementation of major backend components of our service. This will include building the data access layer, writing APIs, developing modules to provide essential services like Authentication, and implementing core methodology. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science and / or significant experience in a web based software company will ensure that you are able to take responsibility for back end PHP/mySQL development and writing code to develop our innovative product. You will be expected to work independently but also have a proven ability to work cross functionally with project managers and be prepared to be flexible and hands on in this team environment. Your strong technical ability will be essential to this role as you create server code and build a robust API in a PHP environment. Additionally you will also have familiarity with common web technologies, such as Linux, Apache, Ajax and Java and possibly have experience working in an Agile environment. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are also essential to this role as you seek to develop resolutions to issues and take our product to the next level.
Summary of Responsibilities
● Creating and maintaining server back-end scripts/tools using PHP, mySQL and other programming languages.
● Developing and deploying PHP implementation of core methodology and algorithms with a solid understanding of coding best-practices
● Integrating back-end services with PHP/JavaScript based front ends.
● Define data model requirements and implement API controllers
● Working with the team to manage and customize internal productivity tools
● Creating other network scripts and tools to assist in product development.
● Participating in the creation and maintainence of technical documentation
