Library Dept Head - Content Development/Acquisitions
August 26, 2010 7:12 AM
Mefi-brarians, stop bemoaning the horrible library job market! Come work at a growing academic library in the Midwest. We've recently reorganized and offer boundless opportunities for anyone who wants to provide innovative services to users and make a real contribution to campus, almost unreasonably warm and friendly coworkers, and a kickass dean who values those who cut the usual academic crap and get to work.
This position is for an experienced academic librarian with the qualifications to be appointed at the rank of Associate Professor. The department is new and just waiting for the right person to come mold it into something great. The position includes a spot on the library's leadership council and participation in campus-wide department head activities.
Complete job description.

I'm not directly involved with the hire, but can answer any questions you might have if you're considering putting in an application.
payscale: $60-$75K
