EasyStreet is looking to fill the following position:

Senior Windows Systems Administrator

Responsible for EasyStreet's multi-server (100+) Windows-based hosting services working within a team of Windows Administrators. Develop, document, and deploy Windows technical services. Manage Windows Internet server infrastructure. Provide pre-sale support for Sales. Provide top-level, post-sales technical assistance to the Customer Support department. Work with Sales and Customer Service in the deployment and support of Windows-based services.

Required Skills:
  • Experience in a complex multi-server environment (100+ servers) while being customer focused and customer driven.
  • Work effectively as a member of our Windows team while also being an exemplary individual contributor needing minimal supervision.
  • Thorough understanding of Windows 2000, 2003, and XP.
  • Setup, administration, and troubleshooting of all Windows installations.
  • Thorough and complete understanding of IIS in a multi-domain server environment.
  • Full understanding of SQL administration to include setup of SQL, creating databases, understanding of security models and their implications, basic knowledge of query analyzer.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Exchange 2003 from setup to administration.
  • Thorough understanding of Patching methodologies.
  • Understanding of DNS.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking and its concepts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills on all of the above.
  • Ability to write technical documentation required.
  • On-Call required.
  • Position is fast paced and interrupt driven, requiring a rapid change in tasks.


Education/Work Experience:
  • A degree in computer science or related field. 7 – 10 years hands-on Windows experience with 2 – 4 years Windows 2000/2003 specific systems administration experience.
  • Experience with IIS, SQL Server 2005, scripting languages required. Experience with IIS in a multi-homed environment highly desirable.
  • Previous experience at an ISP or VAR is desirable.
  • Microsoft certification desired.
  • Web application development skills a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written technical documentation/communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of SMS, MOM, WSUS, Scripting, clustering, network load balancing, is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Firewall technologies, Goldmine, Solomon a plus.
  • Must be able to manipulate computer keyboard/mouse and view computer screen, perform floor-to-ceiling equipment maintenance in a rack environment, work in narrow/confined spaces and lift 50 lbs.
