Office Manager for New York City Development Company

Powerhead Games, an independent New York City Game Development company, is seeking An Office Manager/Admin to help our growing company!

The Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administrative needs of the company. To put it another way, the office manager "does whatever it takes to keep the company running efficiently”.

**Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiates the purchase of office supplies and furniture in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgets
• Light clerical and inventory work
• Assistance with routine operations tasks
• Provides oversight and responsibility for the office environment ensuring that all fixtures are in working order and office appearance is kept to standards
• Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as information management, filing systems, requisitions of supplies and services as well as maximize office productivity
• Responsible for handling shipments/mail/courier deliveries
• Facilitates liaison relationship with the building company, its staff, and outside vendors
• Assists with space planning and internal office moves
• Oversees office maintenance and improvements while maintaining office supply inventory
• Manages invoicing and expense reports process
• Coordinates and ensures domestic and international travel arrangements
• Provides administrative support to management team
• Coordinates quality of life initiatives, event planning and staff gallery updates
• Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Requirements
• Office management/senior administrator experience
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through
• Skilled at developing and implementing standards and procedures to improve data entry efficiency, accuracy and performance
• Skilled at using spreadsheet, and word-processing software
• Experience should include event planning, public relations, project management and daily interaction with external clients, vendors and visitors
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple tasks and changing priorities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to use sound judgment
• Strong organization, prioritization and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• High level of initiative, motivation and enthusiasm
• Diploma in related field preferred
• Experience in the gaming industry a plus (but not required)
• Ability to speak Spanish, French and/or Japanese a big plus (but not required)
