NetBox Blue provides leading solutions for the Unified Threat Management market and has developed a range of solutions now being used across Australia by small (less than 5 users) and large companies (including Telstra, Qantas and NAB). You will be based in Brisbane (Milton) and your role will be to work on developing the product and occasionally attending to high level telephone support calls.
Your key attributes will be:

* Object oriented development and design experience, including simple to complex systems.
* Networking experience, specifically in Linux.
* Linux software development experience.
* Ability to pick up new concepts and technologies quickly and follow development methodologies.
* Good communication skills.
* Enjoy working as part of a team.
* Self motivated.

Other desirable attributes are:

* Python development experience.
* Detailed understanding of IP networking, and internet standards (HTTP, DNS, SMTP etc).
* A university degree in information technology (or similar).
* Automated unit and system testing experience.
* Ajax experience.
* C experience.
* Understanding of SQL (especially PostgreSQL).
* General experience with Linux OS.
* Open source community contributions.
