Looking for advice around PIPs, short term leave, and hiring people who have been PIPed

Looking to talk to a developer who has been put on a PIP or taken short term mental health leave about their experiences.
Additionally, looking to talk with a manager about what sort of improvement they expect to see out of a developer they've put on a PIP, as well as what concerns // thoughts they'd have about hiring someone who's been on a PIP, either successfully or unsucessfully.
