Dog Botanist: identify plants in my yard from photos
February 25, 2017 11:59 AM
My 4 month old puppy ["old" picture] likes to chew on sticks and leaves and just had a bout of diarrhea cured w/ antibiotic (stool samples negative for giardia and parasites). She doesn't swallow intentionally, but of course some material is swallowed/absorbed anyway.
We need to train her not to, provide alternative chew toys & food and watch her when she's out there, but I'd like to know which plants are particularly dangerous. We rent, so might not be able to pull them, but can at least be aware & might get permission to pull lethal ones.
There are a lot of ornamental, non-native plants in the front & back yards. Maybe 100! Some might be tough & require a re-shoot by me directed by you or they might be impossible to identify until they flower.
payscale: $25/hour, max 6 hours
