Administrative Assistant to Accounting Practice

This is a part-time, remote position requiring an average of 5-10 hours per week to be worked on a flexible schedule.
A growing accounting practice is looking for administrative support with client accounting processes. There will be a combination of specific, one-time tasks and regular recurring processes to be performed with varying frequencies. The following are examples of typical duties of this position:
-retrieving, organizing and filing client documentation, such as bank statements, invoices, or receipts
-performing routine processing in client accounting systems, such as importing transactions
-reviewing clients' vendor invoices and preparing payment batches
-reviewing client data and addressing formatting or completeness issues
Required job skills:
-Exceptional organizational abilities to manage recurring tasks independently
-Attention to detail
-Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
-Atptitude for web-based productivity tools (Google Apps, Basecamp, RingCentral meetings, etc)
-Fast learner with a willingness to learn client software tools
Although this position does not require any specific accounting knowledge or expertise, some fundamental financial accounting knowledge would be an asset. The position can be tailored to include more technical accounting tasks for those with bookkeeping knowledge looking to gain more accounting experience and skills.
