Bilingual Children’s Enterprises, Inc., is led by an award-winning group of storytellers, animators, educators and entrepreneurs and we’re searching for an experienced User Experience Designer. You will be instrumental in helping us shape the look and feel of website, mobile applications, and other tools supporting all of our future products. This role is an incredible opportunity to make a huge impact on early learners and the business of language learning, user-centered design and gaming.
The UX Designer is responsible for designing UI and shaping the overall user experience by gathering requirements, identifying constraints, and developing successful design solutions. The UX Designer works closely with the founder, artists, educators, and developers to bring high level product requirements into designs that deliver compelling and satisfying user experiences for preschoolers. In order to effectively communicate designs, this role will be expected to create detailed storyboards, interaction workflows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, all while iterating as necessary.
Requirements
Experienced in web application, mobile user interface design and gaming preferably in early education learning.
Awesome verbal and written communication skills with the maturity to give and receive proactive, constructive feedback and to communicate with various personalities in a distributed environment
Expert knowledge of web standards, cross-browser compatibility and the ability to fully implement your own designs in HTML/CSS
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and within constrained timelines
Experience in information architecture that displays your ability to make key decisions that will affect user experience from the start of a project
Stays on top of interaction design trends
Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and other tools of the trade
