Yelp is the ultimate urban city guide that taps into the community’s voice and reveals honest insights on local businesses and services from people just like you. The content found on Yelp comes from a vibrant community of real people who are as passionate about their neighborhood as they are about sharing their insights.
We're looking for a Senior System Administrator who can support our fast growing website and internal systems. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who has touched all aspects of a large production environment and can scale along with the company.
Responsibilities:
* Configure system and network parameters.
* Monitor system stability and performance.
* Help develop tools to monitor and maintain systems.
* Ensure 24x7 operation.
* Rapidly scale systems to meet demand (add boxes!).
* Occasional desktop support.
Requirements:
* Several years of Linux or UNIX system administration experience
* Knowledge of Apache, firewalls, load balancers and MySQL
* And a sense of humor!
