Microsoft Access 2007 tutor
November 7, 2011 3:20 PM
I'm teaching myself Access 2007, and I need a mentor.
The things I'm trying to accomplish, for someone good at Access and knowledgeable about relational databases, will be easy. I am usually quite the autodidact, and I already have read many pages of books about Access, watched online training videos, and participated in online forums. But as I have never been in the presence of another human being who could really walk me through it, it's rather abstract.
I'm not asking you to do any actual work on my behalf, but rather to "teach me to fish."
That said, I need someone who is willing to answer specific questions and to make specific recommendations when I present a problem. It's also very important that if I ask "why," you are willing to answer.
I am a MS certified Excel 2007 Specialist, if that helps at all. I also know a little VBA (although the problems I'm trying to solve currently don't really involve VBA).
Special bonus points if you are in New York and can actually meet, but I'm assuming this will be an online relationship.
I don't have much money at the moment, but for the right person, I will send you $100 up-front as a good faith gesture, and then you give me as much help as you think that's worth.
payscale: $100 up front plus more
job type: contract
