IT Systems Administrator
March 14, 2014 8:16 AM
We are looking for a talented Systems Administrator to join our growing team. Great startup company with a global footprint developing, building and installing Wind Turbines.
Like many small companies, the job has a considerable amount of expected work (server patching, etc), but also demands a self-starter who can develop a roadmap towards scaling the IT systems as we grow, and work with other departments to manage projects. This job has a strong growth potential as the organization develops, and is unique in that we are small enough that we don't have a huge amount of bureaucracy, but large enough we can buy big toys.
We are a Microsoft shop internally (Exchange+SQL+Lync), and our products group uses Linux (PHP/Python/etc).
I can answer any questions, this was my previous role with the company. Upcoming projects might include:
> Replace SAN (prod+dr)
> Lync 2013 upgrade and SIP integration
> VMware 5.5
> Exchange in Office 365 migration.
Here is the generic job posting header from the URL below.
The IT System Administrator implements, monitors and supports servers and storage environments for all facility equipment, and provides operational application support, including image archive and disaster recovery. The IT System Administrator provides server and desktop technology support, including operating system maintenance, application maintenance and ensures all systems adhere to security, user access and configuration policies. This position works very closely with other corporate and global facility personnel to coordinate the implementation and ongoing support of systems physically hosted at the Barre, VT facility location or other locations. The IT System Administrator also monitors and diagnoses server and storage devices, provides support for IT incidents in support of our globally dispersed staff, and coordinates installation of new equipment for all global facility projects.
More details: Here.
payscale: negotiable
job type: full-time
