Resume and code reviewers wanted
December 17, 2012 11:00 AM
If you are in the tech industry and are willing to review my resume and some example code in order to give me feedback, I will paypal you the price of a cup of coffee in your town.
I'm hoping to get into a new job that involves using scripting languages on a daily basis to solve interesting problems. I'm most qualified for some kind of testing or support role where I have to (read: get to) automate tasks, or a web development position. I don't have a computer science degree. I would love to find a junior position where I can learn from those around me and improve my skills while coding on a daily basis.
All code samples are in PHP, JavaScript, and Python.
I'm looking for two things: information I can use to learn and improve (feedback on directory structure, design decisions, and so on), and information about how to make my code look appealing to potential employers. Hopefully both kinds of feedback will overlap considerably.
I'm very interested in any information that can help me position myself so that my strengths are compelling to potential employers, and honest assessments of my strengths and weaknesses.
payscale: One (1) cup of coffee (up to $5)
job type: contract
