Freelance technical writer for software documentation needed
March 23, 2011 12:37 PM
We (large educational company with a small software business) are looking for someone to work on updating our documentation as we update one of our products.
The technical writer will have to be able to learn our product, understand the differences between newproduct and oldproduct, and then write and revise our documentation.
The audience is college students and instructors/faculty who might not be technically savvy at all, so the writer will have to be able to explain steps clearly to those without much skill and not be condescending about it.
We have about 30 1-page documents we need to update by June.
Please email your resume, hourly rate, and writing samples (or links to sites you've written for) to me.
We need to see that you have done this sort of technical writing in the past, so people who are good fiction writers or have written other types of stuff, please don't apply.
payscale: Hourly DOE
job type: contract
