I have over ten years experience working in magazines, doing everything from writing to copy editing to admin duties. I'm looking to expand outward to copy writing, and will also happily edit. I am proficient in AP style, familiar with Chicago style, and happy to work in any house styles.
I have worked as a moderator and editor at the award-winning ArborUpdate.com, as well as helped create and provide content for CousinsVinyl.com.
I also have experience doing direct campaigning for same-sex marriage, and can help create effective, pithy and pointed political outreach.
I have served on the board of a housing non-profit with over 600 members and an $11 million budget. Responsibilities included coordinating grant writers, managing member concerns and liaising with HUD representatives.
I have mild HTML skills, excellent Office (and OpenOffice and GoogleDocs) skills.
