Responsibilities:
* Develop and drive the SEO strategy while building awareness and expertise throughout the company
* Strategically leverage organic search techniques to drive relevant traffic to our sites
* Analyze opportunity for growing traffic on major engines, continually monitor new trends and evaluate risk/rewards for implementations
* Work with development teams to improve site architecture for SEO, recommend content development strategies
* Provide direction for on-page optimization, including copy, metadata, titles, descriptions, alt tags, and streamlining code
* Researching and resolving HTML code and content, link architecture and navigation issues
* Assisting in layout of web pages when required
* Continually monitoring organic search rankings to increase traffic and sales
* Analyzing website strategies and translating qualitative or anecdotal data into recommendations and tactics for revising the strategies
* Link-building strategy, planning and execution
* Leverage social media as part of a link building and link authority strategy.
Requirements:
* Three plus years marketing experience including search engine optimization experience
* Bachelor’s degree, degree or concentration in advertising, marketing and communications preferred.
* Experience working with large e-commerce sites
* Advanced knowledge of technical, usability and content related aspects of a web site as they relate to SEO
* Ability to multi-task, take initiative and drive projects forward
* Previous working experience in organic (natural) search engine optimization
* Knowledge of keyword selection, density analysis, reporting and link building tools a must, with ability to optimize web pages including HTML and CSS, JavaScript a plus
* Experience with Omniture Site Catalyst and/or Discover a plus
