Systems Administrator/VM Lab Manager for Software Developers & QA

We're looking for a technical and product-focused systems administrator to build and support internal testing networks, development tools and deployment tools for our enterprise security products. Candidate should be detail oriented and a champion for enabling engineers to focus on development by responding creatively and proactively to support engineering requirements. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial - which is why we're looking for MeFites.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Background using VMWare, VirtualBox, Hyper-V or other virtualization products to maximize scalability and efficiency of a development/test environment

Experience managing common web server platforms on both Windows and Linux

Experience using scripting and automation tools on common Linux and Windows server platforms (shell scripting, batch files, PowerShell, etc)

Experience using build tools on common Linux and Windows server platforms (make, ANT, msbuild, etc)

Knowledge of processes and tools for configuration management

Background integrating COTS and Open Source platforms into a small to mid-size enterprise environment

Knowledge of object oriented languages and methodologies

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Requires B.S. or B.A. in a technical field, or equivalent experience.

4+ years experience as a Systems Administrator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Scope, build and maintain development networks in support of Engineering activities.

Scope, build and maintain test networks in support of Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering activities

Support platform-specific installation and deployment technologies for our growing suite of products across the server, virtual machine and desktop

Support and recommend automated build, continuous integration and other development tools required for agile software development

Support automated testing tools and architecture

Solicit, deploy and maintain test data and configurations for development and testing networks

Establish and execute a consistent backup strategy for test data, virtual machines and other critical testing assets

Collaborate with the development team, other peer product team(s), and consulting teams as needed
