Web Content Developer

Work with mission and ministry areas to communicate PC(USA) activities and initiatives online by identifying, editing and producing Web sites, Podcasts, Blogs, Enewsletters and using social media such as Facebook, MySpace, etc. Act as project manager by coordinating communication, facilitating meetings and creating requirements and timelines as necessary.
Essential job tasks and responsibilities:
1. Seek appropriate content from all ministry and mission areas of the PC(USA)
2. Coordinate with other writers, designers, photographers and video producers to produce material to be distributed through a variety of online media
3. Compose and copy-edit content, using clear, concise, lively writing style
4. Develop new and update existing content in accordance with editorial and technical standards
5. Assist in developing online communications strategies
6. Work with Creative Services team to develop, implement and evaluate an annual work plan
7. Participate in Communications & Funds Development and inter-unit planning as assigned
8. Stay abreast of online communication trends and developments in online technology

- Public relations, marketing and customer service skills;
- Work with self-discipline and minimal supervision
- Write persuasively and produce appealing content
- Work collegially with other staff, clients and constituents
payscale: $46-$54k
