On-Call Librarians

ON-CALL LIBRARIAN - Competition Number 07-134
Kwantlen University College requires Non–Regular Type 1 (contract) librarians commencing immediately on an on-call basis for Information Desk service to students, faculty and staff.
May require work at all campus libraries (Richmond, Surrey, Langley & Cloverdale).
The successful applicant must have:
* Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited institution, with related work experience in a post secondary library preferred
* considerable and current experience in providing in-depth reference service
* demonstrated ability to deliver library research skills instruction
* proven experience in demonstrating the use of electronic resources
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* ability to adapt to change and work in a team environment
The short-listed applicant will demonstrate a 15-minute orientation as part of the interview using our library web page to instruct an English class on how to use the library catalogue.
