JUNIOR WEB DESIGNER

J&R Music and Computer World, the world-famous music and electronics retailer in downtown Manhattan is seeking a full-time Junior Web Designer for its web site (www.jr.com).
If you are looking for a challenge, an opportunity to use your creativity, and a healthy amount of responsibility, we want to hear from you.
This position is responsible for overall design issues as well as daily maintenance, direct email and affiliate marketing design issues. Knowledge of Adobe Design Suite, HTML and CSS is required. Knowledge of Flash and Actionscript a plus. A perfect position for recent graduates with design experience, the ideal candidate must have an understanding of and ability to design for web, and for ecommerce sites in particular.
* Good writing and editing skills are a bonus.
* Knowledge of blogs, social media and online community a plus.
* Knowledge of the music industry, hot trends in music is not required but very appealing to us.
* Knowledge of electronics, computers, gadgets and technology is desired.
