Under general direction, administers servers and manages Web application services for Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC); primarily manages the following web application, features and tools: Content Management System, Request an Appointment, Find a Physician/Physician Profiles, eNewsletters/podcasts/syndicated feeds, Multimedia asset management, Web Analytics, Site Search, Patient and Physician Portals, Domain management and Online forms; develops, installs, administers and troubleshoots Internet services on core UNIX servers; establishes and maintains provisions for fault tolerance and backups on core UNIX web servers and for security on all web services; takes key responsibility for SSL certificate and domain name management, including creation and renewals; performs other job-related duties as required.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree plus at least 4 years work experience, including 2 years experience working with heterogeneous UNIX platforms, required; thorough knowledge of all UNIX daemons, including Tomcat and Apache necessary; must have at least 2 years experience managing web servers and web-based applications; thorough knowledge in UNIX security, Shell and PERL programming in a UNIX environment a must; experience with web analytics (WebTrends preferred), content management systems (Fatwire preferred) and other three-tier web applications are strongly desired.
