Technical support/customer service professional seeking remote work
April 12, 2023 4:29 PM

I'm an older worker with a nine-year gap in my resume, and I'm immunocompromised. Which has made this job search a bit of a challenge.

I'm also a brilliantly creative problem-solver, an adept troubleshooter, an excellent communicator, and a responsible, personable, and courteous professional. I've got an excellent phone manner and an English degree that I wield proficiently.

My ideal job would be remote, full-time, include health insurance, and would involve learning a complex technology and providing in-depth technical support for it. I excel at learning skills; during my recent illness I became interested in building musical instruments that are enormously accessible, so I learned Autodesk Fusion 360, 3D printing, electronics, some C++, and I came up with this. (It's also one of the top projects of all time on Metafilter Projects.)

If you know of a remote job (or a job in lovely Tucson, AZ that would be safe for an immunocompromised person) that involves customer service and/or tech support (or any other field where you feel my talents would be useful), I'd be immensely grateful if you'd let me know.
