Program Assistant–Marketing, Education & Outreach
Full Time Temporary Position
BKi – Los Angeles, CA

Our Southern California office is located in the historic PacMutual building in downtown Los Angeles, across the street from the Pershing Square Metro station. Our engaging work atmosphere is casual, collegial, focused, and active.

Working within a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, the Program Assistant will support the administration of existing local programs that support increased energy efficiency in homes.

Actively participate in local events to engage homeowners in planning energy efficiency home improvement projects. Inspire homeowners to take action and provide them with information on how energy efficiency programs can help them make the right upgrades to their home.
Develop thorough reports on your efforts to promote energy efficiency resources at outreach events in the field.
Under the direction of the marketing lead, develop communications materials for homeowners and contractors, encouraging participation in energy efficiency programs.
Execute communication and marketing plans to ensure stakeholder buy-in, leverage all available marketing distribution channels, engage customer participation, and drive recruitment for program offerings.
Actively work with stakeholders, partners, and the public to continually discover and leverage communication channels and opportunities to exceed program goals.
Assist in the coordination with participating local governments to promote available resources.
Provide support to the marketing team on an ad-hoc basis.
Flexible schedule; available to work weekend events and occasional evening events to help reach our homeowner and contractor audiences.
Superb communication skills; personable and diplomatic in working with diverse constituencies and inspiring participation from partners, media outlets, and community members.
Entrepreneurial, creative, and superb on follow-through.
Enjoys working with a variety of social media tools and creative approaches to community engagement online, by phone, and in person.
Experience in cause-driven campaigning, community organizing, and marketing.
Ability to communicate effectively in all sectors at all organizational levels in a professional, ethical, and nonpartisan manner.
Ability to review, understand and design basic communications pieces within basic existing branding guidelines.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign required.
Proficiency in MS Word®, MS Outlook®, and Windows® operating systems required.
Some local travel may be required at times - clean driving record required.
Hourly Rate: $20 per hour
Status: Temporary Full Time
Hours: M-F; 40 hours a week; 8:30 AM- 5:30 PM, plus some nights and weekends
Duration: through 11/20/15
