Akuta (Sanskrit for "purpose") is a fully-funded NYC-based software startup focused on delivering industry-specific solutions to the pharmaceutical sector. Our background incorporates tech startups, enterprise software, and pharma. We are committed to rapid growth but believe in maintaining a work/life balance. We love good design and creative problem-solving. We love Macs (though our app is developed in .NET).

We're looking for a web-savvy Developer to assist in the development of our flagship product as well as new initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Develop/enhance application functionality
- Ensure interoperability across browser clients
- Support existing development standards, and create new ones as needed

Candidates should possess the following skills:

- Knowledge of C#/.NET, MS SQL, XML, Javascript, HTML, and CSS
- Ability to work independently and in a flexible environment
- Ability to know the difference between the "best" solution and the "easiest" one
- Willingness to learn new technologies

The following are desirable:

- Experience building enterprise software applications
- Understanding of AJAX
- Knowledge of JSP
- Windows Administration knowledge
- Ability to do yoga, or at least try it out

This is a salaried, full-time job with benefits (health + dental).
