Connecticut Democratic Party seeking full-time Field Organizers

The Connecticut Democratic Party (CDP) is seeking full-time Field Organizers. The Field Organizers will serve a critical role in our growing field infrastructure. The Field Organizers will be the main point of contact for volunteers in an assigned region, and will report to the CDP Regional Field Director in their assigned region.
Start Date: Various Location: Multiple, CT
Field Organizer Responsibilities Include:
- Meeting strict volunteer recruitment goals including but not limited to: recruitment phone calls, one on one meetings with volunteers and attending organization meetings
- Meeting strict long-term Neighborhood Team Development goals
- Collaborating with volunteer leadership to successfully plan canvasses, phone banks, voter registration events, house parties, forums and other campaign events as directed in assigned region
- Functioning as the point person for volunteers in assigned region
- Meeting strict weekly voter contact goals on doors and phones
- Meeting strict weekly voter registration goals
- Meeting daily reporting and data entry deadlines
- Participating in regular reporting conference calls
- Other duties as needed
Field Organizer Qualifications:
- Past experience in Democratic campaigns as intern or staff
- Connecticut political experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience using VoteBuilder
- Microsoft Excel proficiency is a plus
- Dedication to empowering volunteers to effect change in their community
- Basic understanding of the Neighborhood Team Model
- Applicants must be highly organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced campaign environment
- Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends on a regular basis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong dedication to the values of the Democratic Party of Connecticut
- Access to reliable transportation required
