Need a junior web developer

Symbol Force is a small web consulting company looking to expand. We're seeking a junior developer who can immediately start handling simple tasks and learn while doing so. We want you to improve your craft as a programmer and grow with the company. Initially you will be working solely on handling existing client projects, but as you learn we want you to help develop in-house products.

Our company is based out of NYC and Charleston. We have no offices and everyone works from home, so you will be telecommuting. Our clients are generally large media companies on the west coast, ex. TMZ, Warner Bros, Deluxe Entertainment, Discovery.

Day-to-day job functions:
- maintain regular availability online for both clients and coworkers
- informally gather requirements from clients for new and ongoing projects
- take requirements, either from coworkers or from clients, and satisfy those requirements (code/test/deploy)
- communicate with clients and coworkers on the status of your work
- maintain existing codebases
- help in cross-browser/device testing of your own code and others' code

Looking for experience with as many of the following as possible:
- the web programming environment
- ruby, php, javascript
- ruby on rails
- mvc javascript frameworks (e.g. ember, batman, angular)
- the unix environment
- cloud deployment on heroku, ec2
- relevant test frameworks (e.g. phpunit, qunit, sinon, rspec, etc)

Your personality:
- must be comfortable being in constant communication with clients
- must be self-motivated and eager to learn
- must be able to manage own responsibilities and deadlines with an eye towards keeping the client happy
- must be comfortable working with multiple clients and environments at once
