AR Accountant
Within the Finance team we are currently hiring an AR Accountant. This position is open due to growth in the company and expansion of our Accounting department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing technology company located in the Loop. To be successful in this role, candidates must be self motivated, energetic, proactive, and work independently in a team environment. Additionally, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required. This position has high visibility across the company including sales, operations, finance, and service functions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ø Review customer contracts and prepare the invoices associated with these contracts
Ø Input revenue recognition start dates and work closely with Revenue Cycle team on revenue recognition impact
Ø Manage initial set up, billing and maintenance of new and existing client contracts
Ø Respond to customer requests and provide partner support as requested
Ø Research discrepancies and provide resolution in a timely manner
Ø Monthly close activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and ad hoc projects
Ø Assist in the interim and year-end audit procedures
Ø Assist with other projects on an as-needed basis, as directed by management
Qualifications:
Ø Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
Ø Minimum 1 year experience required
Ø Intermediate Excel and Word skills
Ø Strong problem solving and communication skills
Ø Excellent attention to detail
Ø Proven ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines
Ø Flexibility and ability to adapt to fast-paced growing environment
Ø Working knowledge of accounting software package experience or ERP system
