Associate—Business Valuation:
This is a full-time position and will be based in Chicago, IL and will report to the Senior Consultant, Valuation Services. Candidates based in other locations may be considered depending on experience. Valuation and valuation-related services of the firm include a wide range of fair market value assessments for business acquisition and compensation. In addition, the valuation and transaction group provides financial analyses, feasibility analyses, transactional consulting, and litigation support/expert witness testimony. The Valuation Associate will have a primary focus on the area of physician compensation and be responsible for performing fair market valuations encompassing physician employment, medical directorships, emergency department on-call and in-house coverage arrangements, joint ventures, and co-management agreements.

- Participating in client meetings and interacting with clients to gather required data
- Building financial models and performing financial and valuation analyses
- Conducting research and writing narrative reports to support valuation analyses
- Documenting work product in an organized manner, ultimately for presentation to clients
- Preparing exhibits to illustrate complex issues
- Ensuring a consistently high level of quality control over work product
- Supporting team members in project planning, management, preparation and delivery
- Navigating public company and private transaction databases and filings
- Assisting in research and practice development activities
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in finance, economics, accounting or related study
- 1-2 years experience in a healthcare entity, law firm, or valuation firm (not an investment banking firm) with exposure to valuations and/or compensation related matters
- Superior writing and oral communications
- Strong research, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, with a high level of efficiency, while paying close attention to detail
- Capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively in an entrepreneurial environment
