The Writers Network is a service that aggregates freelance writing talent, leveraging its exclusive community of writers to mass produce short form article content across a variety of verticals, including home and garden, fashion and style, finance, and sports.
Title: Senior Software Engineer
Reports to: Director of Product and Technology
Location: New York, New York
We are seeking a talented, experienced LAMP engineer to help grow our infrastructure and our team. You’ll maintain our existing Drupal-centric systems, implement new sites, and develop new features. Your daily work will include helping with requirements gathering and participating on product design.
Requirements
* Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
* Minimum of 6 years software engineering experience
* Minimum of 2 years hands-on Drupal experience
* Experience with PHP, MySQL, SVN and Git, HTML, CSS, AJAX/Javascript, SOAP, REST and other web technologies
* Broad interest in modern web technologies
* Great communications skills, particularly with non-engineering colleagues
Desired experience
* Background in traditional software development methodologies
* Previous startup experience
* Active in the Drupal community
* Testing and QA processes
