Peavey Digital Research is a division of Peavey Electronics with offices based in Oxford. Formed in 2006, the group’s role is to develop the company’s existing MediaMatrix® and NION® product lines and provide the next generation platform to enable Peavey to maintain and extend its market leading position. MediaMatrix® is recognized worldwide as the signal processing solution of choice for medium to large facilities, such as stadiums, airports, theme parks, and concert halls. Example installations include Heathrow Airport, Wembley Stadium, numerous theme parks, and the US Senate Chamber in Washington, DC.
We are currently seeking an experienced Windows software developer to help us maintain a large and complex Win32 application, and develop the next-generation product using .Net technology. Working in a small team of highly talented engineers, it will be essential for the successful candidate to have excellent inter-personal skills and be able to work effectively both on their own and in a team environment. They must be able to understand and develop complex distributed systems and will be expected to be able to take on varied challenges from day one.
Essential skills include:
* A minimum of 5 years experience of designing complex software products to a high standard
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* A deep understanding of C++, STL and Win32
* Substantial experience of .NET and C#
* A good understanding of object oriented design
* A good understanding of networking
Skills/knowledge which would be advantageous include:
* C++/CLI
* WPF
* XML, XPath etc
* Unit Testing Techniques and Tools
* Multithreaded Programming
* User Interface Design
* Graphics Programming
* Commercial Audio Systems
payscale: £30k - £40k
