Director of Health Professions Education, Description of Position
The Director of Health Professions Education will coordinate and teach health professions faculty across the U.S. in the creative and constructive application of Neehr Perfect educational EHR throughout the curricula. The Director of Education will work on a virtual basis with individuals and groups of faculty at colleges and universities across the U.S. The Director of Education will act as a coach, consultant and trainer, assisting faculty with curricular development of innovative teaching/learning applications of Neehr Perfect's health information technology offerings.
The Director of Health Professions Education will remain current in best clinical practices to address the interdisciplinary healthcare team and industry trends. The Director of Health Professions Education will contribute to and participate in planning Neehr Perfect education programs and processes, lead and/or support research projects, and contribute in strategic planning to promote the EHR as an effective teaching/learning tool for health professions education.
Location
Archetype Innovations, LLC does not have a central office and is housed in the virtual space. The Company seeks talent from any location in order to best support Neehr Perfect. The Director of Education may work at the location(s) of his or her choice. Day-to-day team communications and all direction and guidance for the Director of Education will be through phone, email, web and video conferencing. Occasional travel to national conferences for networking, professional development and exhibiting is expected. Due to the virtual nature of this position, the candidate must be an independent, self-motivated professional who is skilled in virtual methods of communication. The candidate must have access to high-speed internet.
Requirements
• Masters Level Degree in Nursing or related field required. Doctoral degree in nursing or related field is preferred.
•Direct teaching experience of nursing or health professions students is required.
•Demonstrated proficiency and success with applying innovative technologies in education is required.
•Computer proficiency is required.
•Documented experience designing, implementing and evaluating clinical simulation learning experiences with health professions students is preferred.
•Experience teaching adult student populations in web-based, online and other non-traditional learning environments is preferred.
•Acute care clinical experience or advanced practice experience is preferred.
