Account Manager
April 26, 2016 7:08 AM
viaPeople, Inc. is a fast-growing Human Resources Software company located in Plainsboro, NJ.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, full-time Account Manager who will be the customer facing contact for world class corporations in the Financial Services, Technology, Retail and other Industry Sectors. viaPeople provides highly customized software that is unique to every customer implementation. None of our customers use the software the same way, giving us a competitive advantage but a greater demand for a "high touch" customer relationship.
The Account Manager will have a friendly personality, the ability to take ownership of customer concerns and become the primary connection between the customer and viaPeople. This person will have the drive to develop innovative approaches to resolving customer issues quickly. This person will have the flexibility and agility to work in an environment where everyone works together as a team to “get the job done” regardless of title or role.
The job will require project-oriented skills and commitment. The viaPeople business is cyclical in nature, meaning that there are times throughout the year that are busier than others. The nature of our software is to provide evaluation software for mid-year and year-end performance evaluations. During these cyclical periods there will be longer hours and working weekends required.
We provide our employees with a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive and inclusive office environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Master and maintain detailed knowledge of the entire viaPeople product suite and configuration options
* Facilitate various group customer-facing sessions using telephone and web-based conference tools
* Manage the relationship with the customer and become the viaPeople "front" to the customer
* Work closely with the customer to gather project requirements, and provide consultative advice, in order to ensure project meets business needs
* Work closely with the internal viaPeople Industrial Organizational Psychologist Consultants who are the subject matter experts advising our customers on the best practices for evaluations
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including agreed upon configured processes, deliverables, and any open items
* Manage deliverables in line with project plan
* Quality assess data files for system integrations and data migrations
* Participate in pre-launch Quality Assurance testing
* Record and manage any project issues and escalate where necessary
* Fulfill various project manager-related functions and tasks within a project implementation
Your qualifications include:
* A Bachelor's Degree (required)
* Excellent verbal communication and listening skills required for telephone, online demos and occasional in-person customer meetings
* Highly organized and process-oriented self-starter with great attention to detail, who takes initiative to solve problems independently
* Solid analytical and problem solving skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to serve as an intermediary between technical developers and end users
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in business requirements gathering, documentation and subsequent development
* Excel proficiency is a must; basic SQL, XML and/or HTML knowledge is desirable
* Word and Adobe knowledge would be a plus
* Ability to deal with very demanding customers and complex customer service issues, using diplomacy and professionalism
* HR background in Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Succession Planning, 360 Review, Core Competencies is a plus
* Application software implementation experience is a plus
