JOB DESCRIPTION – Teacher of Creative Media Production (Games Development) and/or (Interactive Media) – full time
The role will involve working in a team to deliver Level 3 BTEC in Creative Media Production Gaming and Interactive Units but knowledge of Digital Publishing is also useful. There is scope for the successful candidate to design briefs suited to their skills within the optional units in the Edexcel BTEC Diploma Creative Media (Games Development) and (Interactive Media) Specification. It is therefore desirable that the successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge in the theoretical and practical aspects in some or all of the following areas: Game Design, Game Engines, Web Design, Animation and Digital Publishing. Software currently used on the course includes: Unity, Stencyl, Blender and Adobe CC. The potential to lead diverse student groups in the creation of high-quality media and Interactive work and make an outstanding contribution to student success is essential.
Both teaching experience and relevant industry experience will be considered in demonstrating suitability for the post.
All courses are taught as part of a team within a large Creative and Media Sector, therefore evidence of effective teamwork is essential. The successful applicant will have to demonstrate a commitment to continual professional development in order to contribute to a highly reflective and innovative sector.
