Product Director / UX Design Lead for Universal Subtitles

Universal Subtitles is the most advanced video subtitling and video metadata collaboration tool in the world and we are growing fast.
We are looking for a world-class product designer who can work with us to shape the future of how video is used online.
Our ideal candidate would have:
* Outstanding interface design vision and ability
* Front-end coding skill and swiftness (html/css/javascript)
* Experience working with and coordinating a team of developers
* A deep understanding of the relationship and balance of design and interaction on the web.
* A devotion to design with elegance, clarity, simplicity, and function.
In short, we want someone with talent and drive who is eager to build something great. We have a team of excellent developers building an advanced javascript interface (with an elegant UI) for subtitle creation and alignment.
Universal Subtitles is a project of Participatory Culture Foundation, a nonprofit organization in the model of Mozilla. Our open-source tools are used by millions of people each month and we are growing quickly. Our funders include Mozilla, the MacArthur Foundation, the Knight Foundation, and more.
