Part-time MetaFilter moderator

We're looking to hire an additional part-time MetaFilter moderator! Candidate must be available to work 8 hour shifts on both Saturday and Sunday each week during US daytime hours, plus work additional shifts as needed with 2 weeks+ warning to cover for time-off needs from the current full-time moderation staff.
A candidate should:
- be a MetaFilter member of a year or more
- have a solid familiarity with MetaFilter policy and practice
- be capable of communicating well with a team, and of working independently
- respond calmly and diplomatically to stressful or complicated social situations
- feel comfortable writing and editing basic HTML
US Daytime hours on MetaFilter run from 7am to 11pm, Pacific time, with morning shifts from 7am to 3pm and evening shifts from 3pm to 11pm. Candidates will need to be available regularly for one of each shift each Saturday and Sunday, and available for occasional morning and evening shifts Monday through Friday as needed with reasonable advance notice.
This is a paid-hourly contractor position. Candidates can work from anywhere with reliable internet. Previous experience moderating elsewhere is not required, but familiarity with the basic role of moderation on MetaFilter is a must.
