The project Manager/Web producer (PM), manages online communications projects from start to completion. The PM is the primary contact between customers and the Web team, and manages approximately 15-20 projects at any given time. The PM ensures the appropriate process is followed, the client’s expectations are managed, deadlines and budgets are met, and routine problems are solved. The PM also plays a central role in developing the communications strategy, preparing written content, and creating the information architecture plan. You're festidious about detail, have an eye for design, are a dab hand with Photoshop, care about usability, accessibility, semantics, information architecture and, importantly, making things that work well using best practices. Moreover, you enjoy doing all of this stuff, and would like to do it on big boy web sites, for clients like Coca-Cola, Orange and eBay. Also, you're not just gonna turn up, stare at your screen all day, then disappear at 5:30pm. You're personable, sociable, interesting, interested, fun, funny, keen and sane. Well, mostly sane. wordpress coding help, small, one time job

Attempting to create drop down/pop-up/hover/whatever menus has completely broken my brain. I'm designing a website for a friend and they like my general layout but they want the menus to drop down with further links. I'm having a hard time coding this and getting them to look right with wordpress. If anyone has the skills to do this for me I will pay you whatever you think is fair for what should probably be a fairly quick task for someone other than me.

Freelance Information Architect and GUI Designer

I am looking for either one individual to cover both responsibilities or two individuals to do each separate job. The position will be freelance for approximately 4 to 5 months with probably a total of 2 to 3 hours of meeting time every other week plus whatever you need to accomplish tasks. Hourly rate we can negotiate. Also, you'll need to be available to travel to Arizona first week in August for one day. Reimbursed by us, of course. Project involves re-designing the interface, navigation and reporting tools for a sales management application that is both web-based and served to a browser from the desktop. This is a data-based application that is highly information intensive and I therefore need someone who has experience in application IA/GUI rather than simply web design. Anticipate a rather un-structured requirements development environment - we are not great at process. Fortunately you will be working off an existing application and a set of preliminary documents developed by an IA that left the project to move overseas. Company is an established, global publishing enterprise that has existed for a long time. Project team is in the higher ed division.

We are an evolving web design program in the Boston area that trains students in standards based design methods. Train students how to handcode pages using Xhtml and CSS positioning. Have a familiarity with Dreamweaver and be a Photoshop whiz. Lead discussions on elements of design and industry “best practices” for creating standards based websites. Qualifications for this position - The candidate for this job must have superior organization skills. Preparing academic curriculum and developing lesson plans is an important part of this position. Documented teaching/training experience is helpful although flexible based on the individual. - Be comfortable with handcoding websites using validated xhtml and css. - Familiarity with Dreamweaver 8 very helpful. - Must have a professional portfolio documenting your work. These qualifications are not required but put you at the head of the list:- Familiarity with Javascript, PHP and Flash. - Currently part of a web design practice in Boston or it's environs.
