I'm looking for a programmer it assist me in redeveloping my company's core search technology. Experience with .net, PHP, and SQL/MySQL is a must. AJAX and XML skills are also great if you've got 'em. You will learn a lot about query analysis and information extraction, so any enthusiasm about natural language processing is a plus. Strong database skills.
Experience preferred in Access, SQL, VBA, Sharepoint, Outlook (Exchange)
MySQL, PHP, Java a plus.
Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Must document code.
Most work can be done remotely, so physical location of candidate not too important.

Tasks to Perform

Design Access applications that pull from legacy and/or corporate data sources.
Maintain and enhance existing Access applications in use.
Design links to other MS Office applications from existing Access DB’s
Design web interfaces to communicate with backend Access or SQL databases.
Develop PDA/Blackberry interfaces to communicate with Access/SQL DB’s.

Prior Work Experience Would like 2+ years in work environment, but will consider any candidate with strong skill set and desire to work hard.

We need a kick-ass .net (flavor up to you) and SQL web programmer to create a few large, CMS-driven sites from scratch. You are welcome to bring your own libraries and user controls to the table. Work starts immediately and will be enough to keep your attention full-time for at least 4 weeks. Documentation and scope established, look and feel done & sliced - we just need you to code, code, code. Project Manager is a former developer and will help get you up to speed. Thinkature is a Cambridge, MA based startup developing innovative visual collaboration products. We launched our first version last week, and have had a great response so far. We're really serious about good usability, good design, and good code. This is an intense experience, so it's also really important that candidates be in the Boston area. We're currently a two person operation, so we're looking for someone who wants to get involved at the start of something we believe will be really great. This is an almost-founder like position, so it's critical that you're really excited about web applications, collaboration, and being involved in decisions about every aspect of a young company. Here are some of the kinds of jobs we hope you could do:

Do web design. (the usuals - HTML/CSS)
Hack on the client-side (we use Javascript in ways rarely seen on the web)
Enhance server-side functionality (our custom HTTP server is written in Python)
Test like a fiend on a variety of browser platforms (our current release supports all the major browsers)
Engage in high level design discussions about the direction of the product
Engage in low level design discussions about details of specific features
Develop relationships with potential future user groups
Run pilot deployments with specific user groups
Maintain community relations (writing on our blog, reading/commenting on others, plus staying involved in our forum and on our wiki)
Help us manage money and other administrative tasks

Junior SQL Developer

You'll be working alongside a Senior Developer to design, review, develop and implement production SQL Server databases.
