I am looking for 1 or 2 people to develop the site layout, a logo, product pages & the xhtml/css for a website I am about too launch. The site will support a software product that I have recently developed. The site will be hosted on a SharePoint server which means the xhtml and site layout will need to be implemented as an Asp.NET MasterPage and a WSS Theme. If you are interested please send me your resume, and some example work. I will provide more detail about the site content and structure to those who respond. I have a $1500 budget for this project.

Graphic designer for young adult alternate reality game

We're looking for a graphics designer to create up to six different websites for an alternate reality game based around a highly popular young adult book. This job will involve working with our team in London on creating concepts and then finished PSDs for our in-house web designer to implement - this means that you will not be doing any HTML work, although we will expect you to have a very good grasp of the web and interaction design. The websites should look lushly designed illustrated. We are not looking for web 2.0 or corporate designs; instead, imagine that you have to create a Victorian rail timetable leaflet, but online. You will need to show us a portfolio of sites you have designed in this theme, otherwise unfortunately we're not interested. This is a relatively short project, which will need to begin almost immediately. You will need to have good communication skills and be fast and prompt. It's a very fun project though, with a good client! You can be based anywhere in the world, but things will be easier if we can talk to you on the phone, which (depending on where you live) could involve occasional late nights or early mornings.

This job entails creating 2 pro-recycling posters targeted at junior and senior high school students. We'd like to create a prototype, test its effectiveness, and then create final posters which would then be hung up at a variety of schools. This is for an academic research study, so we're measuring pre-poster and post-poster knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. We've done research about what seems to be the most effective strategies to market recycling to young people, such as social norms, but we'd prefer to collaborate with someone who is familiar with social marketing theory, and optimally, with children's marketing. A great graphic designer/artist is wonderful, but a knowledge of marketing theory is also essential. If you're interested, please contact me and we can discuss in greater detail.

My company, Nabbr.com, is looking for an full-time, onsite designer. We already have two MeFite's working here. Let's make it a third! Our company is thriving, full of talented people, and never boring. If you join our team, each project you work on will be wildly different from the last one. You'll be working on our web site, developing unique graphics for our clients, and making images for our sales team to use in presentations. Most of our work involves promoting trendy products (bands, movies, video games, etc.) to young people, so you have to have a hip, cutting edge design style -- not a super-corporate one. Take a look at our homepage, nabbr.com, to see our current design aesthetic. You won't be locked into this (we want someone creative), but you should feel comfortable with the whole "web 2.0, rounded corner" thing. We'll need you to be able to create production-ready images, which means optimized and, if necessary, sliced. If you have any Flash, web-coding, or video skills, those are pluses, but they're not requirements. We pay well, and there's a possibility for equity in the company. This gig is for you if: You have at least 3 years of experience designing the look-and-feel for high profile business websites. Your keen eye for aesthetics, layout and design should be made obvious by a Web UI design portfolio containing highly professional, creative page designs. For this project, you will primarily be asked to produce layered PSD templates and custom icon illustrations (if needed) from supplied wireframe sketches and software requirements. I need a logo and id package designed. I'll take care of the printing, you just need to take it to final art files. I will need the final art files in AI or INDD format, no photoshop files please (all logo art needs to be vector so that it can scale). Pieces involved would be: logo, business card, letterhead and one webpage template using CSS. You will retain copyright of all artwork, and I would be granted an unlimited exclusive license to use the art files. I'm not looking for the cheapest design work, but you do need to have a good portfolio showing an ability with logo & design that works in print applications, not just web.
